The O2 arena

The O2 Arena

The O2, a world-class entertainment destination on the site of the former Millennium Dome, opening in July 2007 with a series of live concerts. In Zone 2 of the London’s Underground, the O2 is situated at the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee Line, just 15 minutes away from Southwark Station (nearest from our Hotel).
 
  AEG Europe have partnered with O2 to create the UK’s most exciting and technically advanced music, sport and entertainment destination - The O2. At its centre The O2 arena, with a capacity of up to 23,000 will host up to 150 world-class music, entertainment and sport events in The O2 arena in its first year of opening.
Within the facility there will also be a smaller music club – indigO2 - with a capacity of 2,200, an 11-screen cinema, an ice rink, a world-class exhibition space and a vibrant ‘entertainment district’ featuring more than 20 bars, restaurants, retail and leisure facilities.
 
In Zone 2 of London’s Underground, The O2 is situated at the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee Line, which provides direct access to central London in less than twenty minutes. In September 2006 AEG Europe acquired a majority stake in Thames Clippers, the capital’s largest fleet of commuter boats, improving transport connections to the Greenwich Peninsula and The O2 via the river.
